Home ministry grants Y-plus category security to Kangana Ranaut ahead of Mumbai visit

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut was accorded the Y-plus category of security by the Home Ministry in the wake of her spat with Shiv Sena leader and Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Sanjay Raut. Meanwhile, the Mumbai High Court (MHC) has stayed the demolition being carried out by the Mumbai civic body for removal of alleged illegal construction at the actor's house in Mumbai.

The actor landed here from her home state Himachal Pradesh (HP) today, amid protests by Shiv Sena party workers at the Mumbai airport over her remarks on Mumbai police.

The actor flew from Chandigarh by a scheduled flight landed at Mumbai around  02:30pm. Shiv Sena Party workers with black flags were seen outside the Mumbai airport, shouting slogans against Kangana Ranaut.

On the other hand workers of the Republican Party of India (A) and Shri Rajput Karni Sena had also gathered in support of the Kangana. RPI (A) leader and Union minister Ramdas had declared that his party workers will protect Kangana Ranaut while she is in Mumbai.

Actor Kangana Ranaut has courted a controversy with her recent comments about Maharashtra and the Mumbai Police. In response to a remark by Sanjay Raut where he asked her not to come back to the city after she claimed she felt unsafe in Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut had compared Mumbai City with PoK.
